Awareness raising sessions on gender-based violence for women and girls in Merefianska community

Do not be silent, act!

Recently, the team of the Charitable Foundation ‘Civic Initiative – Who but we!’ held awareness-raising sessions on gender-based violence for women and girls in the Merefianska community!

Gender-based violence is a problem that can be solved together. During our sessions, we reminded them that every woman has the right to a safe life. We discussed where to seek help and how to protect ourselves and our loved ones.

‘I learnt about many resources that can help in a difficult situation. Now I know what to do,’ said one of the participants.

These sessions were held within the framework of the project ‘Strengthening psychosocial support and protection of children and other vulnerable groups in the communities of Kharkiv region affected by the military conflict’. The project is being implemented as part of the CLEAR Programme, implemented by Global Communities and funded by USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance.
